2013 Lexus GS 450h debuts in Frankfurt

Lexus was not happy with the open-handed slap Infiniti dealt in the sports sedan war. These two are the ones playing the game but Lexus us not going to be quiet in the battle because the automaker has been planning to launch a new weapon to the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show.



The German auto show will be the place where the 2013 Lexus GS 450h will make its debut worldwide. No details has been released so far for the four door sedan but it may utilize the current 450h's 3.5-liter V6 in combination with an electric motor.

2012 Lexus CT 200h gets F Sport package

Lexus is improving its visual appeal and performance of its CT 200h by adding an F Sport package. It gets a revised body kit with a meshed-out front grille, high-gloss alloy wheels, metal front scuff plates, a perforated leather steering wheel, leather shift knob, aluminum pedals, optional perforated leather seats and a re-tuned suspension.

Lexus launches 2011 LS 460 Touring Edition

Lexus has offered its 2011 LS 460 Touring Edition with a new 19-inch wheels and a sportier body kit. The Touring Edition will be available for sale with a sticker price of $73,000 before destination charges.

Lexus is also adding a special mica paint job to the limited-production sedan which also features sport seats, matte-finish wood paneling and black leather upholstery with saddle leather accents.

Lexus Outpaced by Two of its German Rivals

It took eleven years for Lexus to become the top dog of the U.S luxury car market, and roughly the same amount of time to lose the title. Its because of Toyota’s accelerator pedal recall saga and the fifty percent drop in production capacity caused by the earthquake and the old guard automakers BMW and Mercedes-Benz have left the Japanese upstart gasping for air in third place.

Lexus Launches CT 200h in Japan

Lexus has launched a new CT 200h hybrid model to its Japanese line-up in order to boost its sales in the home market. It's first entry in the premium-compact segment is also its cheapest price in Japan ranging from 3.55 million yen to 4.33 million yen. This car was mainly designed considering European customers. This car is also available in North America, China and a few more countries will be added to its list soon. It's available at $29,120 in U.S.

The little hybrid hatchback needs an attractive price if Lexus has any hope of selling 1,000 CTs each month in U.S. The rumoured base price of $29,120 would be enough to get a very good traffic in Lexus dealerships. This pricing data was leaked a day ahead of its planned arrival.

Lets assume that these prices are accurate, the 2011 CT 200h will be the least expensive new Lexus sold in America. The base price for the IS series and HS 250h hybrid sedan is several thousand dollars higher.
